Volunteer Opportunities
We are always in need of volunteers to help with phonebanking, event preparation and office work, including maintaining our database and website.

Mobilizing for Action: Phonebanking (best way to turn people out, held for 3 hours in evenings about once a month) Being a phone tree steward (Use your 1 on 1 contact to move people to action, involves making about 10 phone calls each month) Helping at mailing parties (we mobilize through the mail about 6 times a year)

AND / OR Building our Mobilization List: Joining the Rapid Response Team (For those with flexible schedules - able to mobilize with 24 hours notice) I'm most available: Weekday Weeknight Weekend Data entry of new pledge cards (Grow our ability to mobilize, come into the office at least 1 time a month) Gathering the "I'll Be There" cards at rallies Helping with outreach to my faith-based community Name of Temple, Mosque, Church, Other: Speaking to my union or community organization about the JwJ pledge, upcoming actions and recent victories Name of organization:

AND / OR Making Actions More Fun Making posters and picket signs (make our message seen and heard) Peacekeeping (Keep our actions nonviolent & family friendly) Increasing creative aspects of JwJ actions (coordinate with the organizing committee to inject actions with music and art)

AND / OR Serving on one of the following committees: Organizing (meets monthly to plan and mobilize for actions) Events/Fundraising (help organize Honoree Dinner, Grinch Party, concerts & other fundraisers) Website/Technology (have good computer skills? Help keep our website & computers up to date)
